MacAllister Technician School (MTS) in Indianapolis offers an 11-month program to train MacAllister Technicians. It includes over 900 hours of instruction through online classes, in-person sessions, and hands-on shop work. Students will work full-time at their home branch while training at the Indianapolis headquarters and other branches statewide.
The curriculum covers systems like electrical, hydraulics, engines, powertrain, and fuel systems, plus welding, failure analysis, computer use, and safety. It also focuses on teamwork, communication, and business skills. Assessments ensure students gain expertise, guided by accredited faculty with extensive industry experience. The program begins in mid-July.

Purpose
The purpose of the MacAllister Technician School (MTS) is the provision of foundational training for newly hired equipment technicians on the following:
- Familiarity with standard equipment and procedures at MacAllister Machinery,
- Competency level performance on common and required technician tasks,
- Understanding of, and integration into, the MacAllister Machinery culture.
Selection of Candidates
Candidates for MTS must meet the following minimum requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
- Achieve an acceptable score on a computer-based mechanical aptitude test
- Achieve an acceptable score on a reading comprehension evaluation test
- Be hired by MacAllister Machinery as a Technician Trainee, having met all pre-hire requirements including interviews with the branch manager

Tuition Reimbursement
At MacAllister Machinery, we are committed to a long-term employment relationship with our teammates. We are also committed to supporting the long-term development of our talented employee teams.
As such, it is our expectation that individuals who are selected to become a part of our team through the MacAllister Technician School (MTS) will complete an additional two years employment at our facilities post-graduation. We establish this expectation to ensure we maintain the highest value educational program and benefit for the MacAllister team.
If an MTS student voluntarily leaves the program prior to graduation, the student will be responsible for repaying the prorated value of the education.
If the student leaves after the student graduates but before completing two years of service, the student will be responsible for repaying the prorated value remaining on the education.
The estimated value of the two-year program is $20,000.
