Cat Customer Value Agreements (CVAs) are tailored machine maintenance plans designed to meet your business needs, extend equipment life, and maximize your return on investment. No matter your industry or Cat® equipment, a CVA helps ensure your machines stay in peak condition—leading to higher productivity, minimized downtime, and lower operating costs. What’s Included in a CVA?
Each option is supported by planned maintenance, genuine CAT® parts, and dealer expertise. You get flexibility to maintain your equipment on your terms. If you’re buying new or simply buying a machine that’s new to you, you can add security, peace of mind, and extend the reliable performance of your CAT®
equipment by adding a CVA. While the specific details of a CVA vary by equipment type and industry, every agreement delivers value across four core areas:
- Hassle-Free Ownership: A CVA simplifies ownership with expert dealer support, streamlined parts access, and flexible payment options tailored to your business.
- Hassle-Free Maintenance: Genuine Cat Parts are delivered where and when you need them, making routine maintenance easy. You can choose from flexible service options that match your operational needs.
- Expert Dealer Support: Each CVA provides access to dealer expertise, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs using Genuine Cat Parts. If needed, trained Cat technicians are available to assist.
- Peace of Mind with Equipment Health Management: Stay connected to your equipment’s performance with easy-to-use digital tools. CVAs include access to health monitoring systems that let you track key operating metrics anytime, from anywhere.
CVA Coverage Options From MacAllister
Whether you take care of maintenance yourself or prefer to work with your CAT® dealer, every CVA helps protect your investment and support long-term equipment performance. We have broken our CVA Coverage Options into three packages – Gold, Silver, Bronze – and included a breakdown of what’s included in each below:

CVA Service & Software Programs Explained
No matter what service requirements you may have, MacAllister can tailor a Customer Value Agreement (CVA) to help you better control your specific equipment-operating costs. Ranging from periodic inspections, to our satellite-based Product Link and VisionLink systems, to a Total Maintenance and Repair (TM&R) Agreement, an explanation of your possible service and software options are detailed below.
Total Maintenance and Repair Agreement – Management of all maintenance aspects, including performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, general repairs, and component overhauls required to assure optimal equipment performance… all done for a flat monthly or yearly fee.
Preventive Maintenance Programs – Programs to perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer’s specifications, customized to meet your specific needs.
Inspection Programs – A variety of options to optimize efficiency and save you money in the long run. Beyond simple inspection of tires, engines, and transmissions, other alternatives include:
- A technical diagnostic analysis carefully evaluating your machine’s major systems through testing engine, transmission, electrical system, and cooling/hydraulics systems performance.
- Custom hydraulic service examining fluids, cylinders, pumps, and valves, letting you avoid maintenance lapses.
- Custom Track Service inspections for undercarriage analysis, developed to support lowering owning and operating costs and also to track undercarriage performance.

Fluid Analysis & S•O•SSM Oil Samples & Reporting – Scheduled early-warning laboratory sampling to identify buildup of abnormal wear particles in oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid, and coolant, letting you stay in control and head off problems before they create system failures. Elemental testing, oil cleanliness analysis, coolant analysis, oil condition analysis, and other tests to determine equipment health are key to an effective preventative maintenance program.
S•O•S Services Web portal was retired starting in March 2026, and all fluid samples are now available exclusively through VisionLink.
Product Link Analysis & Condition Monitoring– A direct telemetry connection between you, your equipment, and MacAllister, for real-time detection and early correction of emerging potential problems. Used in conjunction with Cat’s Equipment Management software, it delivers vital machine information to your computer or phone, helping you manage machine maintenance and support agreements.
VisionLink Software – A cloud‑based fleet and equipment management platform that helps equipment owners monitor asset health, manage utilization, reduce downtime, and control operating costs from one centralized solution.
