What’s Included in a CVA?
While the specific details of a CVA vary by equipment type and industry, every agreement delivers value across four core areas:
- Hassle-Free Ownership: A CVA simplifies ownership with expert dealer support, streamlined parts access, and flexible payment options tailored to your business.
- Hassle-Free Maintenance: Genuine Cat Parts are delivered where and when you need them, making routine maintenance easy. You can choose from flexible service options that match your operational needs.
- Expert Dealer Support: Each CVA provides access to dealer expertise, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs using Genuine Cat Parts. If needed, trained Cat technicians are available to assist.
- Peace of Mind with Equipment Health Management: Stay connected to your equipment’s performance with easy-to-use digital tools. CVAs include access to health monitoring systems that let you track key operating metrics anytime, from anywhere.
Customer Value Agreement From MacAllister
No matter what service requirements you may have, MacAllister can tailor a Customer Value Agreement (CVA), to help you better control your specific equipment-operating costs. Ranging from periodic inspections, to our satellite-based Product Link System, to a Total Maintenance and Repair (TM&R) Agreement, a selection of your possible options is show below.
Total Maintenance and Repair Agreement – Management of all maintenance aspects, including performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, general repairs, and component overhauls required to assure optimal equipment performance… all done for a flat monthly or yearly fee.
Preventive Maintenance Programs – Programs to perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer’s specifications, customized to meet your specific needs.
Inspection Programs – A variety of options to optimize efficiency and save you money in the long run. Beyond simple inspection of tires, engines, and transmissions, other alternatives include:
- A technical diagnostic analysis carefully evaluating your machine’s major systems through testing engine, transmission, electrical system, and cooling/hydraulics systems performance.
- Custom hydraulic service examining fluids, cylinders, pumps, and valves, letting you avoid maintenance lapses.
- Custom Track Service inspections for undercarriage analysis, developed to support lowering owning and operating costs and also to track undercarriage performance.

Fluid Analysis – Scheduled early-warning laboratory sampling to identify build up of abnormal wear particles in oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid, and coolant… letting you stay in control and head off problems before they create system failures.
Product Link On-Board Analysis – A direct telemetry connection between you, your equipment, and MacAllister, for real-time detection and early correction of emerging potential problems. Used in conjunction with Cat’s Equipment Management software, it delivers vital machine information to your computer or phone, helping you manage machine maintenance and support agreements.
No matter your industry or the Cat equipment you rely on, maintaining peak performance leads to higher productivity and reduced operating costs. That’s the power of a CVA.

Our Services Commitment: Next-Day Parts, Two-Day Repairs
Time is money – we’ve all heard that before. Uptime keeps your crews moving and your jobs on budget, and downtime does just the opposite. If we cannot meet that commitment, you’ll get paid. Here’s how it works:
Parts Availability Commitment
- Maintenance and wear parts are available next day1. If not, you receive Cat Credits for the value of the late part, up to $1,000 USD2.
- For CVAs with dealer‑performed service, common repair parts arrive by the second day3. If not, you receive Cat Credits for the value of the late part, up to $1,000 USD2.
Service Response Time Commitment
- Technician response to diagnose or fix unplanned repairs by the second day3.
- Priority scheduling with the next available appointment.
- Pre‑arrival diagnostics to accelerate on‑site work.
- Progress updates so your team knows what is happening and when equipment returns to the job.
