Engine
The Cat 3054C ATAAC turbocharged, four cylinder diesel engine delivers 97 kW(130 hp) and is built for performance and reliability. The turbocharged engine provides efficient operation even at high altitude.
Turbocharged Air to Air After-cooling
Turbocharged air to air after-cooling provides 97 kW (130 hp) at 2200 rpm for top performance and efficiency.
Transverse-mounted Engine
Transverse-mounted engine provides good cooling performance and accessibility for easy service.
Engine Emission Standards
Meets U.S EPA Tier 2 engine emissions regulations.
Direct Injection Fuel System
Adjustment-free direct injection fuel system keeps fuel consumption low.
Hydrostatic Drive System
The efficient hydraulic drive system eliminates chains and other mechanical linkages between the diesel engine and final drive components. Closed loop hydrostatic propel system incorporates pave and travel modes to provide versatility. Speed control system maintains preset paving speeds throughout a job.
Transmission
Fully hydrostatic transmission provides efficient, low-maintenance operation.
Propel System
Anti-slip/balance propel system assures either wheel will continue to drive even if the other wheel is slipping.
Separate Propel Circuit
A separate propel circuit for each drive wheel provides positive traction.
Infinite Speed Selection
Infinite speed selection within four speed ranges, two in pave mode and two in travel mode.
Brake Pedal
Brake pedal provides foot control of propel speed freeing operator to control other paving functions.
Optional Front Wheel Assist
Optional front wheel assist enhances rim pull on soft bases.
Material Handling System
The AP-800D provides precise mix delivery with minimal operator monitoring. The left and right feeders are controlled independently of each other and the auger height can be hydraulically adjusted. Two adjustable feeder gates with height indicators are controlled from the operator’s station.
Feeder/Auger System
The automatic fully-proportional feeder/auger system provides superior material control.
Feeder/Auger Units
Left and right feeder/auger units are controlled independently of each other.
Feeder Gates
Feeder gates with height indicators are powered and operated from the operator’s station.
Wear Items
Wear items are alloy steel for long wear life.
Auger Flights
Cast Ni-hard auger flights are 406 mm (16”) in diameter and provide long service life.
Feeder/Auger Control System
The auger and feeder control system is fully proportional using paddle or sonic material feed sensors.
Auger Assembly
The adjustable height auger assembly promotes mat consistency and minimizes segregation. The auger assembly can be hydraulically adjusted to 171 mm (6.75"). When working with larger stone mixes, raising the augers allows mix to flow unrestricted under the auger assembly. The ability to raise the auger assembly also simplifies loading and unloading from a transport vehicle.
Adjustable Height Augere Assembly
The auger assembly can be hydraulically adjusted to 171 mm (6.75").
Mix Segregation
When working with larger stone mixes, segregation can often be eliminated or minimized by raising the augers to allow mix to flow unrestricted under the auger assembly.
Transport
The ability to raise the auger assembly simplifies loading and unloading from a transport vehicle.
Operator's Station
A single, sliding operator’s station can be positioned on either side of the machine. The operator’s platform can extend 305 mm (12'') beyond the side of the machine to provide good visibility.
Operator's Station
The single operator’s station includes fully equipped instrument console and steering wheel with lockable cover.
Operator's Platform
The operator’s platform can be positioned 305 mm (12") beyond each side of paver for greater operator visibility.
Operator's Seat
The operator’s seat also pivots 152 mm (6") to left or right to provide operator visibility.
Low-mounted Engine
The low-mounted engine provides unobstructed forward visibility.
Electrical Wiring
The electrical wiring is protected by an articulated vinyl enclosure.
Optional Generator System
An optional generator system allows good forward visibility.
Generator System (Optional)
The integrated generator system includes a tractor mounted generator that provides power for the optional electric screed heat and the optional auxiliary power panel.
Generator
The industrial, single-phase generator operates at 1800 rpm, includes GFCI protection and provides low sound levels.
Control Switch
A single control switch on the tractors operating console activates the generator.
Full Power Provided
Full power is provided to the electric screed and the optional auxiliary power panel while the engine is operating at idle speed.
Service Life
Dual bearings with seals extend service life and internal electronic voltage regulation provides consistent power.
Auxiliary Power Panel (Optional)
The auxiliary power panel provides efficient power for night-time lighting and other job-site power needs. The panel includes four, 120-volt receptacles and two, 240-volt receptacles that are able to supply power for night-time lighting and other job-site work tools.
Auxiliary Power Panel
The optional auxiliary power panel provides 8 kW of power and includes four 120-volt and two 240-volt receptacles.
20-amp Receptacles
The 20-amp receptacles are circuit breaker protected with ground fault circuit interruption (GFCI).
Panel Door
The auxiliary power panel door can remain closed while power cords are attached to the receptacles providing good protection.
Full Power
Full power is supplied to the receptacles while the engine is operating at idle speed.
Serviceability
Simplified service means more paving time and less maintenance time. Large swing open doors and panels provide access to all service areas. Transverse engine mounting provides ground-level access to hydraulic pumps and the engine cooling system. Color coded and numbered wiring simplifies troubleshooting of the electrical systems.
Doors and Panels
Large swing-open doors and panels provide access to all service areas.
Transverse Engine Mounting
Transverse engine mounting provides ground-level access to hydraulic pumps and engine cooling system.
Low-mounted Engine
The low-mounted engine provides easy, ground-level access for servicing.
Wire Coding System
The easy-identification wire coding system simplifies troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Oil Change Interval
The standard 500 hour oil change interval reduces downtime and maintenance costs.
